Assim, consideramos "Pop Music" todos os géneros de origem "popular" desde o Fado ao HeavyMetal, passando pelos Blues, Rap, Funky, Disco, House, Rock'n'roll, BossaNova, Jazz, RnB, etc... todas as formas de expressão musical de origem não elitista e que tenham gestação num ambiente urbano ou rural de estratos mais desfavorecidos e sofridos, onde o destinatário e consumidor seja "o grande público", quer este seja de características mais localizadas, étnico, folclórico e regional ou mais multi-cultural e globalizado. 

Thus, we consider "Pop Music" all kinds of origin "popular" from Fado to Heavy Metal passing trough the Blues, Rap, Funky, Disco, House, Rock'n'roll, Bossanova, Jazz, RnB, etc ... all forms of musical expression of origin and have not elitist pregnancy in an urban or rural strata of the poor and suffering, where the customer and consumer is the "general public", whether he be of a more localized, ethnic, folk and regional or more multi-cultural and globalized.

Apenas excluímos o que habitualmente se considera música Clássica na sua forma mais ortodoxa criada num certo meio, época e ambiente tipicamente de difusão menos populista e massificada, para um público mais esclarecido e mais selectivo ou exigente, no que concerne a formalismos ou rigor técnico.

Only exclude what is usually considered classical music in its most orthodox created ina certain way, time and environment typically less populist and mass diffusion, for abetter informed public and more selective and demanding when it comes to formalityor technical accuracy.

Critérios de selecção:
- originalidade e criatividade
- capacidade intrínseca de relevar e transmitir sentimento e emoção
- agradabilidade da ambiência criada
- beleza e "qualidade" da melodia, dos ritmos, das harmonias, das cores sonoras, ...
- ... ou apenas por que gosto!

Selection criteria:
- originality and creativity
- and overlook intrinsic ability to convey feeling and emotion
- pleasantness of the atmosphere created
- beauty and "quality "of melody, rhythm, harmonies, colors sound, ...
